Unlike the gut microbiome, a healthy VMB thrives on low microbial diversity and is typically dominated by one of the following Lactobacillus species:

L. crispatus
L. gasseri, L. iners
L. jensenii

General Healthy Guidelines for Vaginal Health

Avoid extreme exercise
Condoms and sexual hygiene may reduce the occurrence of vaginal dysbiosis
Wear loose fitting, breathable undergarments
avoid intravaginal washing, such as douching
