In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Ananda Integrative Medicine has launched a new Telemedicine Program – Integrative Urgent Care. This allows mildly ill patients to be evaluated by an Integrative Practitioner via video preventing unneeded trips to the emergency room or urgent care. The program connects patients who do not require emergency care with a provider who can assess the patient’s condition, provide a treatment plan, and even call in prescriptions to support the treatment plan. The treatment plan includes holistic and natural remedies as well as short term pharmaceuticals when needed.
The goal is to divert patients who otherwise would have gone to an emergency department, keeping those beds available for those who really need them. Also preventing needless exposure to any potentially COVID19 positive patients.
